Owners Karyn and Darren were long time 4 Legged Fun clients before deciding to buy the business in 2015. With their support and hard work 4 Legged Fun Ltd will continue to grow, meeting the ever increasing demand for dog care.
Our carefully picked team of walkers are caring, loving, and hard working people that aren’t afraid of a little mud and rain! We love dogs of all shapes and sizes and get a kick out of seeing our 4 legged friends with happy faces and wagging tails. While you’re busy, hard at work your dog will be out and about enjoying a fun filled adventure at the best beaches, parks, and trails that Auckland has to offer.
4 Legged Fun Ltd promotes tailored care for your beloved pooch; we are willing to consider any and all offbeat requests and acknowledge that no two dogs are the same. For this reason we offer group walks for those dogs up for a bit of friendly play, and one-on-one walks for those that would prefer to sniff about by themselves. We also specialise in dog sitting, an excellent alternative to dog kennels! Your 4 legged friend is given masses of love and daily walks, while avoiding the stress of a new environment and new routines. After all, having their favourite owners away can be stressful enough!

DARREN & KARYN
Meet Darren and Karyn!
Hi , we are Karyn and Darren Sapich. ﾠBoth Karyn and I have been surrounded by animals all our lives, Dogs, Cats, Chooks, Rabbits, Birds all sorts of animals have been made welcome.
We have had schnauzers for the last 20 years, started with one and now have three. ﾠThey are our family. ﾠJazz (a 17 year old mini schnauzer) Abbey (5 - mini-standard cross schnauzer) and Gracie (4 a standard schnauzer)
We had the opportunity to utilise 4 Legged Fun when we had a trip to Europe planned a few years back and ﾠneeded someone exercise and entertain our girls while their grandparents spoilt them during the day. They really enjoyed Emma walking them so much, that we continued with the walks after our return. ﾠA change in employment meant we weren't able to be around on a couple of days during the week and wanted the girls exercised and loved while we were away from home
Over the years we have thought we would like to work with Emma in using our property for dog day care, day stays or a dog park. When she informed us she was moving on to further her career as a Biologist and was looking at selling , we jumped at the opportunity to take on the business. ﾠEmma had an excellent team around her and we are passionate about building this team of dog lovers around us and providing a service which is flexible and tailored to each any every dog’s needs and to their owners requirements.
As dog lovers we all know they have their own little, sometimes, BIG personalities and have different needs. ﾠAs a dog owner we can see there is a need for different dog care services for when their owners/parents are away from home.
We plan to broaden the types of services offered by 4 Legged Fun Ltd from the experiences that we have required from time to time with our furry family.
We are excited to meet you and your dogs!
I am a Unitec student - Studying a Bach. of Applied Science and hoping to complete my Masters in Osteopathy. I grew up in Reikorangi, a rural area on the Kapiti coast. Working on the farm and local animal farm park from a young teen gave me the opportunity to be around many different breeds of dogs, from fox terriers to great danes.
After moving back from London I was looking for a part time job that got me away from the computer and back interacting with animals (I was feeling very dog-deprived), and 4 Legged Fun was a perfect fit!)
I love my fluffy friends and really feel like I’ve hit the jackpot with this great part-time job. I love any excuse to get my regular’s out for a surprise trip to the beach.
Cats vs Dogs? Dogs always win in my book.
I am currently completing a degree in Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology with hopes to achieve a Masters degree in Osteopathy in 2018.
I was born in the beautiful Hawkes Bay but spent most my time in small town Feilding in the Manawatu. I grew up only knowing the outdoors, which developed my passion for sport and any type of fitness including taking my dog for regular walks and runs.
I have always had dogs in my life, until I moved up to Auckland at the beginning of 2014.ﾠ What I miss most from home is having my four-legged best friend around me. So when the opportunity came up to join the 4 Legged Fun Ltd team I jump at the chance to get dogs back into my life again.
I am looking forward to meeting your dogs and spending time with them enjoying the outdoors!
Hi! I grew up with dogs and knew from a young age that I wanted to spend my life working with animals in nature. I'm now in the final semester of a Bach. Applied Science in Animal Management and Welfare & Conservation and Biodiversity Management, which I have loved every minute of (even the stressful ones).
My passion for animals has led me to gain a tonne experience with a huge range of wild animals in New Zealand and Southeast Asia. But wherever I go, it always seems to be dogs that I spend the most time with. At one point I was caring for 12 rescued stray dogs in rural Thailand, and since then I've been missing spending time with so many different kinds of dogs!
I can't wait to get out and explore Auckland with your wonderful dog(s), oh the adventures we will have!
Hi there, I'm Eleisha. I am currently in my 3rd and final year of a Bachelor of Applied Science in Animal Management and Welfare.
I have travelled a lot throughout my life, but moved to Auckland to study my degree. I love animals so much, especially dogs! So that passion is really what made me decide I wanted a career with animals. Over the years I've done various voluntary work with animals and had many pets, dogs included, which were all different breeds. But currently, I do not have a dog. That's one of the reasons why I wanted to be apart of the 4 Legged fun team. It is also a great way to develop my dog handling skills, exercise and hang out with dogs (which is the best part).
I am excited to meet and have fun with your dogs!
Hi! My name is Erin, I am currently in the final year of a Bachelor of Applied Science in Animal Management and Welfare.
My love for all animals was encouraged through growing up on a dairy farm in Masterton where a number of species were part of my family. This included dogs, fish, sheep, horses, lambs and cows. Other experience I have gained with dogs includes volunteering at Mark Vette's Animal Behaviour Clinic last year where I learned some great basic training.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to spend quality time with your pets whilst exploring more of Auckland and keeping myself and the dogs fit, healthy and happy.
Hi! I grew up in Laingholm, spending my childhood surrounded bush and beaches nearby.
My days were spent outside building huts and playing with my two Golden Retrievers Zebby and Kimbra.
I am now based in Titirangi and love walking all the great tracks around the area. It made sense to become part of the 4 Legged Fun team and bring local dogs along on my walking adventures.
I love dogs and enjoy getting them outside for exercise, pats, walks, cuddles and fun.
Hi, I’m Nadia.
I have recently finished my Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in animal management and welfare. I take a particular interest in the training side of the animal world, particularly with dogs.
I grew up in East Auckland and have had two wonderful Labradors in my life. My current Lab is my gorgeous girl, Sasha, who will turn 15 this year!
My experience with animals is not limited to dogs. I have been horse riding for 10 years, own three rabbits and a cat. My dog handling experience mostly stems from my involvement with Guide Dogs and learning many valuable skills from this.
I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my time than getting to know all of your wonderful dogs!
Hi, I’m Shivaun, I have worked with animals for a long time in various roles including kennel worker, animal centre carer, vet nurse, dog trainer and behaviourist and pet care advisor.
I have gained a Bachelors degree in Applied Animal Technology from UNITEC specialising in animal behaviour. I also have multiple certificates in different animal disciplines from UNITEC including Vet Nursing and Canine Behaviour & Training.
I have two lovely fur babies of my own and have recently taken time off to look after my human baby. I am really excited to be back doing what I love the most, spending time with dogs!
I look forward to meeting and walking your gorgeous dogs!
"Amazing service! Friendly, down to earth, reliable & experienced." - Sinead

“ I have been using 4 Legged Fun Ltd now for over 6 years.. WOW, Jack is nearly 10 and Bella is 6, it has been a godsend to have one of the girls come in and look after our two precious “kids” while we are either away on holiday or if I need the walking service . Bella can be a bit vary of strangers, and both Anna and Lucie have won her over. I love having the peace of mind to know that both the dogs are safe, loved and well looked after whenever I can’t be there, And it’s also great to know that the house is secure while we are away too. I would highly recommend any services from 4 Legged Fun Ltd.” -Dianne
"We first got in touch with 4 Legged Fun Ltd when I decided to return to work after a couple of years off after having my son. Pumba was very used to being at home with me and we were nervous about him being left on his own all day while we were gone.
Anna and the girls at 4 Legged Fun Ltd are amazing they come twice a week to take Pumba out for some fun. Each walk is different, they visit parks and beaches, sometimes it’s just Pumba and sometimes it’s with other dogs that he gets to socialise with.
He has always been a little anxious around other dogs but they were very patient a slowly introduced him to a few friends that he now regularly gets to play with during the day. We are very happy with 4 Legged Fun Ltd and couldn’t wish for a better service for our family." - Jen
